We’re looking for Senior Java Software Engineers to join our team, with a special focus on contributing to various Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) projects – mostly in Java. PANTHEON.tech has been at the forefront of network automation and Software-Defined Networking, and FOSS is a core part of everything we build.

What do we expect from you?
Strong proficiency in Java with proven hands-on experience, topped with previous experience contributing to or working with open-source projects. A proactive, problem-solving attitude and excellent communication skills, as well as familiarity with collaborative development workflows. What will be your tasks?
PANTHEON.tech has been a leader in network automation and SDN-related technologies for the past 15 years. As a result, we have a diverse portfolio of solutions, both off-the-shelf and tailored to a particular deployment. Free and Open Source Software plays a prominent role in these solutions, and this is where the focus lies: engaging with the wider FOSS community to deliver improvements and new features in the upstream, so that our product teams can easily take advantage of them, without having to worry about maintaining private forks.

Job Details
You should be able to work at least 3 days / week in our Bratislava office.
How much you can earn is directly related to how much you know. Senior SW Engineer salary range starts at 2400 €, Expert/Technical Leader salary range starts at 3000 € (given in EUR, gross) – Your paycheck grows with your skills.
The salary is divided into a fixed and variable part (the variable part is paid in full unless the Code of Conduct is broken or work tasks are not performed).
Requirements for this position
- Education: in IT
- Language: English B2+ / We communicate with partners worldwide on a daily basis, ENGLISH is a must.
- Technological requirements:
– Java – Advanced
– Maven – Experienced
– Linux – Basic
- Other skills:
– 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and JVM languages
– Passion for all things programming: algorithms, data structures, system design and decomposition, driven with willingness to learn on the job
Experience in small team leadership (3-5 people) and work with code repositories
– Maven/Gradle
– UNIX/Linux, Bash
– Knowledge of SCRUM, Client/Server architecture and Computer Networking is a huge advantage.
– A clean criminal record is a must.
