Project Manager for Software Development

Contract type: Full-time, trade license
Wage (brutto): 1 700 – 3 500 EUR/mesiac / Final salary depends on the level of seniority and experience. The salary is divided into a fixed and variable part (the variable part is paid in full unless the Code of Conduct is broken or work tasks are not completed).

Job description

You will work on networking-related software development projects, collaborating with a wide variety of external clients and international teams. Your responsibility will be team coordination and overseeing the team’s project plan. Our teams are located in Bratislava, Banská Bystrica and Žilina.

We are looking for someone with knowledge of agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle, who is eager to learn and adapt as necessary.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting, specifying, and analyzing software requirements
  • Project and schedule planning
  • Meeting with customers and creating analysis documentation
  • Communication with the development team
  • Presenting and explaining solutions
  • Reviewing feasibility studies
  • Participating in international projects
  • Contributing to the design of software products at the component level
  • Defining design “best practices”
  • Pre-sales activities
  • Actively participating in the team’s daily routines
  • People management (hiring, performance reviews, etc.)
  • Regularly visiting your team in branch offices

What do we expect from you?

Fluent written and spoken English on a professional level, and a minimum of 6 months’ previous experience or basic knowledge in managing software development projects. A combination of fairness, affability and strictness — you have to be an authority, with the drive, dynamics, inner strength and energy the role requires. A clean criminal record is a must.

What will be your tasks?

You’ll coordinate teams and oversee project plans across international, networking-focused development projects, working closely with clients and internal teams alike, from requirements gathering through delivery.

Job Details

You’ll be based in Bratislava, with regular visits to teams in Banská Bystrica and Žilina.

Requirements for the employee

Education: IT, Management
Language: English C1 / Fluent written and spoken English on a professional level is required.
Driving license: B
Experience: 3 years, with experience in similar positions welcome

Personality requirements and skills

  • A combination of fairness, affability and strictness is a must, along with genuine authority, drive, dynamics, inner strength and energy.
  • You will have a competitive advantage with PMP, Prince2, or Scrum Master certification.
  • Interest in IT technologies (programming languages, testing, software development, etc.) and networking projects is a strong advantage.
  • A clean criminal record is a must.
